Weaving The Ocean
The study of seagrasses and ocean water collected from three oceans and studied through dyeing, weaving, and paper-making processes. This collection of weavings highlights the relationship between our production processes and the natural world. At the same, it is a catalog of personal migration, seagrasses that I collected from the oceans I have either visited or dwelled beside. Weaving the sea together - an allusion to the greater connectedness at play: our ecosystem.
